The Berry Patch Giveaway

Comments on this post are now closed and the giveaway winner will be announced shortly!

Well, I haven't done a giveaway in a few weeks so it's time for a good one.

Make that a great one.

Renee is a friend of mine from MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), church, small group, etc. She is a hilarious, Jesus-loving, caring person that I am blessed to have gotten to know better in the last few months.

She happened to mention that she had made a Husker shirt for her little girl and I was intrigued. And when she showed it to me, I was in love!

Take a look...

How cute is that?!

Well, Renee started personalizing shirts like this because she wanted to find unique clothing for her children. And people took notice. Look at this great shirt on her son!

And as people saw what she could do, they started placing orders. And The Berry Patch was born. I love that name!

Look at these cute Husker onesies...

It doesn't stop at Husker stuff. Renee is very talented and creative. I love this penguin!

Renee will personalize things for children...

and for adults...

What a great teacher bag!

I just love all of the designs, so here is more from The Berry Patch. Feast your eyes on this!

Guitars for girls...

and boys!

She even does other team logos :)

I don't have girls, but I can imagine that any little girl would love these designs!

And I had to save my favorite for last...

I just LOVE it all!

So here's what you've been waiting for...

Renee is giving away one personalized onesie or children's shirt to one of my readers!

That's right - the winner gets to work with Renee to personalize a shirt for some lucky kiddo in his or her life!

And all you have to do is comment on this post, answering the following question...

Which of the above designs is your favorite?

Easy, right?

Now, for the first time, I am offering extra entries! Here's how...

1. Become a follower of my blog and leave an extra comment saying you follow me.

2. Tweet about this post and let me know with another comment.

I wasn't planning on posting today...

...but then the FedEx guy brought us a package.

And I thought we should share this...

A while back, I entered a contest that I found on PBS Parents. The contest was to win a Buddy the Dinosaur costume from the show Dinosaur Train on PBS. All you had to do was tweet about it - yes, I'm on Twitter - and you were entered in the contest!

Well, they announced the winner not too long ago and I forgot all about it. Until I got a message yesterday that said the winner had been disqualified and we had won!

I sent them my contact info yesterday afternoon (after 5:00!) and the box arrived this morning! Talk about speedy service!

I did not tell Jeremiah about it, so the package was a big surprise for him. And when we opened, he was SO excited!

Of course, he had to put it on right away and model for everyone...

A very happy T-Rex!

I look just like Buddy!

And these feet did a lot of stomping around the basement this morning!

Thank you so much to the Jim Henson Company for this amazing costume! It will be getting a lot of use! Especially this weekend!

If you want to make your own Buddy costume, the Jim Henson Company has two ways to help: a costume pattern (available in two different sizes) and a no-sew costume option. Check them out! Super cute!

Budding Beethoven

Beethoven might be a little bit of a stretch, but how about the next John Cage and a little chance music?

Wow, I am such a music nerd.

A Glimpse

2.an instance or display of imposing pomp or grandeur
3.grandeur; glory; brilliant distinction
4.great brightness; brilliant light or luster

My pictures provide two glimpses this week...

1. A glimpse at the boys and how fast they are growing up and...

2. A glimpse at the beautiful "burning bush" in our front yard

God really knew what He was doing when He put a bush in our front yard that turns red in the fall! Nature's beautiful Husker lawn decoration!

GO BIG RED!

Remember that big secret?

I know you've been waiting on the edge of your seat all week for this...

So, my sister came home from a long day of work Wednesday night and was relaxing on the couch when she heard a knock on the door. And of course, being a cute girl who lives alone, she was a little freaked out.

She went to look through the peep hole and saw no one.

Creepy.

And then there was another knock.

"Who is it?" she asked.

"Open the door and find out," was the reply.

Which would have been even creepier if she hadn't recognized the voice, opened the door, and seen this...

(Insert shocked exclamation from my sister)

Yes, that is her boyfriend, excuse me, fiancee, Nick, at her door, down on one knee.

And I knew about it a week and a half before it happened! I've been dying here!

Nick flew from our hometown to the warm weather location where my sister currently lives in the middle of the week to surprise her.

I think he achieved that. And made her pretty darn happy in the process.

Nick, I want to take this chance to congratulate you on an excellent proposal and gorgeous choice of ring...look at that beauty!

So my little sister is getting married and we are so excited! I might be a little too excited, but come on, she's my only sister! I'm entitled, right?!

Congratulations Megan and Nick! We love you so much and are so thankful God brought you two together!

Now, it's time to plan a wedding! Let the fun begin!
